Autograph letter signed, dated : [n.p., Dresden?], 20 March 1885, to a unidentified baron, 1885 Mar. 20.

Expressing regret that he missed seeing him: Grammann heard him in the corridor but was himself in the lavatory and so could not personally detain the baron; saying that he considers cards or tickets for the "Quellenmädchen" [i.e. Grammann's opera Melusine?] unnecessary, and adding that if he wants to show his gratitude to Hänisch, the Baroness Blome could advise him.
